Bass Coast Festival
Bass Coast Festival
Bass Coast Festival is an international exhibition of electronic music and art.

Nestled in the spectacular Nicola Valley outside Merritt, BC, the 4-day festival boasts over 100 featured performers across 5 stages, an immersive audio-visual experience, world class sound design, over 50 original art installations, and illuminating workshops for the body and the mind. Resident Advisor recently named Bass Coast one of the top 10 festivals in the world in July.

Much more than a music festival, Bass Coast takes a forward-thinking approach to music, culture, and innovation. Bass Coast is an artist owned and operated festival, produced each year completely independent of corporate sponsorship. Founders Liz Thomson, and Andrea Graham, better known as the dj, The Librarian, describe their goal for the festival to “empower our community to discover their own creativity”.

Bass Coast’s progressive platform is blazing a new path in the Canadian festival landscape. Located on the unceded territory of the Nłeʔkepmxc First Nations (pronounced Ng-khla-kap-muhx), Bass Coast’s Green Team endeavors to ensure Bass Coast has a net positive effect on the land and local community. Bass Coast also takes a pro-active approach to harm reduction at the festival, through education and communication, including on-site and online resources for a safe and positive festival experience.

Bass Coast celebrated their 9th year in July 2017, with another sold out celebration of music, art, community and innovation.

Praise for Bass Coast
